James is an experienced CEO and Chairman within the hospitality industry.

Having developed Frankie & Benny’s in the 1990’s, James led a ‘management buy in’ of La Tasca in 2001 for £28m and oversaw the IPO in 2005 and the sale in 2007 for £134m. James is now CEO of the growing Ego brand and is also Chairman of Ping Pong Restaurants Ltd and Notes Coffee and Music. James is also an investor in Leon and Corazon.

James is a Life Patron of The Springboard Charity, was awarded The Catey for Group Restaurateur in 2004, is an Acorn Award winner and recently was placed in The Top 100 Most Influential People in Hospitality.
