Head Chef £45,000 plus bonus and benefits
A stunning 5* hotel in the “gateway to the Scottish Highlands”, renowned in the region for its excellent food offer is looking to employ an experienced Head Chef to manage an established team of 10. The Head Chef will be accountable for the main hotel restaurant, maintaining and even enhancing reputation, through creativity and inspired leadership.
The kitchen is busy and caters breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea for a discerning audience, alongside a fine-dining restaurant, room service, functions and weddings. As Head Chef, menu development through quality ingredients, culinary excellence and astounding presentation is key, in addition to contributing effective team support and growth.
In addition to the above skill, it is essential the Head Chef has a proven track record of success in 5* hotels or high-end restaurants, as well as a creative, enthusiastic and flexible approach. Additional Head chef duties include:
- Day-to-day kitchen management and motivational mentorship
- Ensuring food standards and safety are maintained
- Administration – cost control, monitoring performance, staff scheduling
- Timeous response to e-mails and excellent, approachable communication skills

Salary is £45k, plus £1.5k per annum gratuities.
