Seeking a General Manager for a prestigious historical members club in the heart of London, offering an exclusive and unparalleled experience to esteemed members and external commercial customers alike.

Renowned for their rich heritage and commitment to excellence, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the catering and events team. Delighting customers and clients with great food and drinks, brilliant service and an absolute focus on the detail.

General Manager Basis salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum

Key responsibilities for the General Manager:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the entire team, fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the club’s overall performance, focusing on maintaining and elevating the reputation for quality of food and service.
  • Oversee the catering operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently maintained.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus and culinary experiences that align with the club’s historical ambiance and member preferences.
  • Manage the events team responsible for organising functions at this prestigious venue, accommodating up to 1000 guests.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with customers and clients to assess satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings without compromising on service excellence.

The ideal candidate for the General Manager position will have experience in:

  • A leadership role within the contract catering industry, with a focus on weddings, private events and gala dinners.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
