Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven General Manager to lead a branded hotel on the Wiltshire/Hampshire border. This role requires a results-driven leader with a strong understanding of sales, revenue management, and financial performance. You will be responsible for maximising profitability while ensuring an exceptional guest experience and maintaining brand standards.

General Manager Salary: Up to £70,000 plus 25 annual days off work plus bank holidays, pension, private medical and group discounts, discretionary bonus

General Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, maximizing occupancy and M&E revenue.
  • Monitor financial performance, control costs, and implement strategies to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead a traditional team structure, fostering a positive work environment and strong team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring strong leadership at all levels.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention through effective people management.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the brand, ensuring full compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Uphold health & safety, legal, and operational standards to deliver a safe and secure environment.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional and corporate teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager in a branded hotel.
  • Strong sales focus with a track record of driving revenue growth.
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing a turnover of £4m+.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing traditional hotel team structures.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E operations and revenue optimisation strategies.
  • A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads by example.
