Job Description
Seeking a General Manager for a 120-bedroom hotel in Berkshire driving the success of the upcoming rebrand and full refurbishment due to start in 9/12 months’ time.
Salary: Starting Salary of Circa £60,000 (Open to discuss) plus benefits.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, be highly motivated, hands on with strong organisational skills and a problem-solving mindset. You will be responsible for leading operational strategies, and driving the success of the upcoming rebrand, recruitment and full refurbishment plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of day-to-day hotel operations.
- Implement and maintain standards of service, cleanliness, and efficiency across all departments.
- Drive revenue and profitability through effective financial management and strategic planning.
- Oversee the rebranding and refurbishment project, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with brand standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve operational challenges proactively, demonstrating a hands-on and results-driven approach.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in the hotel industry, ideally within the IHG brand (not essential but preferred).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
- Highly organised with excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Hands-on management style with a focus on operational excellence.
- Experience in hotel refurbishments, rebrands, or major projects would be an advantage.
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
