Our client is an independently owner/operated foodservice company. They are a vibrant, forward-thinking company who has a strong presence throughout the UK, operating purely within Independent Schools. With exemplary standards of service and the provision of innovative fresh food, they are now looking for a General Manager to drive one of their latest contracts in Devon to new heights.
We are looking for an experienced General Manager who has lead large, diverse and successful teams in a similar environment or within high profile contracts within the Independent School or B&I sector. Most importantly, to be the right person for this company, your background must be from fresh food, where a strong emphasis has been on customer service and client relationships.
We are looking for someone naturally engaging, with confidence from a client-facing role. You will need to be immaculate in your presentation, have great presence and really enjoy the buzz and pace of the hospitality industry. You will also need to be competent in the setting of budgets, management of P&L’s and client reporting.
You will dedicate your time to building a fantastic relationship with the on-site client at this large high profile Independent School in Devon. There is a diverse offer ranging from day to day catering for the pupils and staff, retail grab and go, through to a range of hospitality events and high profile events fine dining. Our client is looking for someone with great presence on site, an innovative approach and bags of enthusiasm and ideas. You will need to be aware of all the latest food trends and truly passionate about the industry.
In summary, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Food & Beverage management experience at a high level within a prestigious contract catering setting (ideally high end B&I or Independent Schools)
- Genuine interest in and passion for fresh food
- A track record of developing excellent client relationships
- Inspirational and assertive leadership, someone who gains follow-ship from their team and takes them on “the journey”
- A commercial approach
