The role of Executive Head Chef will be embracing the everyday known food products, of this multi-national fmcg Company, that are used on a daily basis. This role will be key to showcasing these products, and their multi uses, to a broad range of clients visiting the state of the art development kitchen facility.

Salary band is £62,000 to £78,000+

As Executive Head Chef, you will take responsibility for leading the culinary team across the UK and Ireland, consisting of 3 Development Chefs and alongside a contracted social media content creator. Your role will work closely with a wide network of clients, including internal Development team and Nutrition teams, and external customers/ clients.
Team playing is at the very heart of this growing and established business. The Executive Head Chef role will take a lead position, either directly or via the team, as the face of the Company to both customers and the hospitality industry. And in doing so will have in depth understanding of the business strategy, and an ability to communicate brilliantly with a diverse set of both internal and external stakeholders, being key to your success in the role and importantly, playing a crucial role representing the clients within the service remit.
The Executive Head Chef will be a key contributor in driving product innovation both in food service and retail, market expansion, and brand awareness internally and externally. We are looking for a culinary thought leader, who is passionate about developing and creating world class solutions, utilising digital to reach and engage with customers, and ambitious to build culinary expertise both personally and that of the team.
Main tasks and decision-making requirements of the role of Executive Head Chef
* Team leadership & strategic alignment
* Formulate culinary plans that complement the business strategy and drive growth.
* Take responsibility for ensuring the culinary team fully understand and align to the culinary plans and business strategy.
* Take responsibility for developing and implementing a training program that upskills, empowers and stretches the culinary team, incorporating traditional and digital chef skills, presentation and commercial acumen skills.
* Collaborate with Global Lead Chefs to define best practice targets for the team.
* Customer Development
* Add value to UFS the Company and it’s customers, through gold standard culinary presentations that are linked to the customer strategy.
* Support the Customer Development team by bringing to life the challenges that the industry faces, and delivering the best solutions to them.
* Engage digitally on personal and company social media platforms to provide industry thought leadership.
* Maintain an extensive network across the key Industry Associations and leading figureheads associated with the primary sectors of the hospitality industry.
* Work collaboratively with strategic customers to develop concepts and activities that add mutual commercial value.
* Work with the Brand teams to develop relevant written content, recipe development, ambassador recruitment and retainment, photography, filming, and tone of voice.
* Ensure the team ‘Get on the front line’ and understand the food service industry so they can optimise marketing messages to the customers.
