Development Chef- Education Catering – Grimsby DN31
Established and growing independent contact caterer whom are specialist in Education is seeking to recruit a real superstar in the Development Chef area, this role will be key to providing culinary support to around 8 schools both secondary and Primary and the role of Development Chef is so key to the success of this patch and continues growth.
As development chef you will need to be based in the Lincolnshire area, be a driver with own car, all travel mileage and expenses will be paid in addition to the £30k salary, term time only.
As development chef you will support not only the schools in your patch but mobilising new contracts, delivering special events, training of culinary teams, monitoring and maintenance of culinary standards, monitoring compliance with Compass procedures and systems, sales and retention presentations and support for client functions.
As development chef you will have complete control and autonomy on menu planning and the delivery of training and development of chefs within these schools, you will need to be a real foodie and have complete awareness of allergens, special dietary requirements and good knowledge of nutrition to be successful in this role, as well as have a fun character and ability to adjust your style to suit the needs of those around you, from on-site kitchen team to clients and indeed your young customers
You will need to have experience as Development chef and or area support chef roles, ideally within the catering sector in Education over multiple sites, with a real passion for food and service quality, including a good proven knowledge of education catering management, client relationship building, people skills and financial acumen, it is essential you have knowledge and experience as Development Chef in managing primary school catering contracts is essential.
You will be passionate about creating new innovation and food trends current in the industry, you must have experience within contract catering and further experience within the Education sector is an advantage but not essential.
The Development chef role is subject to successful DBS and background checks.
A valid UK driving licence and your own transport is essential.
