Our client, an award-winning contract caterer with UK coverage is looking for an outgoing Chef Manager with excellent skills in the kitchen and the ability to lead and mentor a team.
As Chef Manager you would be based at one of this established contract Caterer’s prestigious B&I contract catering operations in Peterborough. This role for Chef Manager will be responsible for a team of seven, including an assistant chef, creating exciting, on-trend menu choices for breakfast, lunch and hospitality throughout the day, as well as occasional evening events (paid over time or days in lieu).
You will have experience of working at Chef Manager level previously, within the contract catering sector, meaning you will be hands on in the kitchen for key prep and service, as well as overseeing the account, weekly bookwork, cash handling to client relationships and all that happens in-between.
You must be passionate about sourcing local ingredients, creating menus, and sustainability.
Essential qualities for Chef Manager applicants to be considered:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience at Head Chef or Chef Manager level
* Experience within contract catering- B&I sites is desirable
* Good knowledge/passion for food and service and going over and above for the client and company
* A real team leader, who enjoys motivating and developing others around them
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
