An Amazing opportunity for a Chef Manager to work in our brand new B&I contract for a great contract caterer working Monday – Friday.
The ideal candidate for this position as Chef Manager should have great customer service focuses with a “can do, will do” dynamic attitude, while able to lead and develop others whilst utilising previous experience within the catering industry needed.
Salary: £37,000 Hours per week: 40 Monday – Friday
An experienced independent contract caterer specialising in bringing a bespoke and tailored services to their B&I clients, having a diverse range of customers and clients and take huge pride in the quality offering in both current food trends and services.
If you are a passionate Chef Manager with a key eye for detail and quality, with experience of working within high end sites and contract caterers, then this could be the next step for you, from simple sandwiches done well to high level hospitality for working lunches and fine dining experiences for each and every customer and client.
Key responsibilities as a chef manager are to:

Lead the catering team by creating an environment in which they can perform at their best
Ensure we deliver the best catering service within budget
Processed driven whilst quality is not effected only improved upon.
Monitor the service and our food offering so that it constantly exceeds customers’ expectations
Manage the budget so that profitability is sustained
Ensure compliance at all time with all Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and other regulations, policies and procedures
Build and maintain excellent client and customer relationships so that you work in partnership and deliver a service that meets their needs
Manage stock levels and oversee the purchasing process
Ensure all cash is safely counted, stored and recorded
Recruit, develop and carry out performance reviews the team
Chef Manager Requirements:
Experience in a similar role within a high quality premises and client level, within contract catering.
Knowledge of electronic catering management systems.
Exceptional ability to deliver catering services within budget and on time.
Experience in managing, training, and overseeing a catering operation of similar size & scope.
Ability to coordinate special events and catering functions the client may require.
The ability to apply, innovate and change catering offers ensuring contract retention.
Key skills for Chef Manager:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A qualified chef used to working with fresh produce and ability to have autonomy on Menu planning and presentation.
Strong organizational skills and management skills.
Decision making skills and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on customer and client services.
Good business and commercial acumen and an understanding of costings.
Knowledge of food hygiene including hazard analysis and critical control points and food preparation.·
