Our client is a large and well-established foodservice company. They are a vibrant, forward-thinking company who has a strong presence throughout the UK.
Operating contracts predominantly within Business and Industry, Commercial and Event space, they achieve the highest standards of service and provide innovative fresh food.
Due to ongoing success and growth, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to work within their London Team.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for nurturing and increasing sales within Business & Industry sectors for the London and South East regions. You will be client facing with gravitas, autonomy and the commerciality to take control of new business and the retention of current clients to meet and exceed targets at every opportunity.
The Business Development Manager will have the following experience/skills:
- Currently within a sales-focused Operational role OR fully-fledged business development role within a food service environment
- A massive foodie with good strong knowledge of food innovation and the London restaurant scene
- In depth knowledge of the UK Business & Industry Sector and/or corporate/retail restaurant space
- Extensive understanding and experience of the bid and tender process
- Commercially strong and financially aware
- Proven experience of developing relationships and influencing within a food service environment
- Ability to collaborate and work closely with the team, presenting a positive, organised, competitive and winning mindset
- Evidence of previous B&I contract gains, forming part of the sales team on bidding for large and complex tender processes
- The drive and ability to generate circa £3m+ of new business per year
