We are currently shortlisting exceptional candidates on behalf of a food-focussed contract catering company, looking to strengthen its growth in education catering sales across the midlands – Birmingham, Warwickshire, Leicester and Northampton.
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of contracts within the education sector. It is crucial that you have experience as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager in contract catering, with a preference for those who have sold within the education catering sector.
Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:
* Identify and cultivate new business opportunities.
* Manage all stages of the sales process, collaborating with the sales team and operational colleagues to create bespoke bid documents and pricing strategies.
* Ensure a seamless handover to the operational team for new acquisitions.
Ideal Business Development Manager:
* Experienced in contract catering, ideally within the education catering sector.
* A self-starter, ambitious, driven, and competitive.
* An engaging communicator, not just a salesperson.
* Knowledgeable about what constitutes excellent contract catering provision.
* Creative and innovative in developing bespoke solutions.
* Passionate about food and quality service.
* Immaculately presented and confident in delivering presentations with flair and personality.
* Detail-oriented in compiling comprehensive tender documents.
* Team player with a desire to contribute to a winning team.
* Organized and efficient in managing a busy schedule and balancing a demanding workload.
