Hannah Horler - Managing Director

Hannah HorlerHannah (formerly Hannah Bailey) set up Cartwheel in January 2007. Hannah has an operational background, working within hotel food and beverage management roles throughout London and Hertfordshire, before moving into recruitment. Hannah spent 6 years in temporary recruitment within London followed by 7 years working for Chess Partnership. As a Board Director of Chess, Hannah opened their Midlands, North West and Scotland offices and ran everything outside of London.

Hannah has a wealth of knowledge and a wide network having recruited for middle management to board level appointments since 2000, with a particular focus on the contract catering and facilities management markets.

Hannah has a strong network within the wider industry, not least from her experience within management recruitment, but also via gaining the Caterer & Hotelkeeper's Acorn Award in 2001 and thereafter being a dedicated member of the Acorn (now Oak Club) Committee.

Darryn Wright - Client Services Director

Darryn WrightDarryn has over over 8 years experience in management recruitment most of which have been gained from his time at Chess Partnership where he previously worked with Hannah. Darryn’s area of expertise is Contract Catering and Hotels. Throughout his career Darryn has recruited for all levels of managerial vacancies, he knows the Midlands and the North extremely well having spent time working out of both Nottingham and Manchester.

Darryn enjoys the recruitment market and works hard to fulfil his client’s needs. His knowledge of the industry is helped by his earlier operational experience where he specialised in Food and Beverage. In addition to this Darryn is a Hospitality Management Graduate, having gained an Honours degree at Lancaster University.

Mandy Thornton - Client Services Manager

Mandy ThorntonMandy initially joined Cartwheel as Office Manager, having spent her first year working closely with the team and Cartwheel’s clients, Mandy stepped up to become Client Services Manager. Having worked in environments our Contract Catering clients operate within, such as Sony Ericsson and Capital One, Mandy has first hand experience of what is required at unit level. Along with her customer focus, attention to detail and excellent communications skills Mandy brings true professionalism to Cartwheel’s service approach.

Saskia Binns-Smith - Client Services Manager

Saskia Binns-SmithSaskia is Cartwheel’s sales expert, she spent 8 successful years in sales and marketing management roles prior to taking her sales expertise into recruitment. During Saskia’s sales career she worked within various sectors including Fine Dining Restaurants, Boutique and Corporate/Conference Hotels and Retail working in a regional role for Westfield Shopping Centres. She has excellent customer service skills and years of industry knowledge which aids her adding value to Cartwheel’s Hotel, Restaurant and Bar clients as well as taking the lead on sales roles across the board.

Ingrid Fawcett

Ingrid FawcettHaving worked in hospitality recruitment for the past 10 years initially as an Account Director for Chess Partnership for 8 years and then for the past 2 years working as a consultant exclusively for Corney & Barrow Wine Bars in the City of London, Ingrid brings her expertise to Cartwheel.

Ingrid has gained a true insight into the diversity and excitement of the recruitment market, especially the Restaurant Bar and Retail sectors, not only from her recruitment experience but also from her earlier operational experience.  Having worked in operations in restaurants, bars and retail, Ingrid brings extensive knowledge of the market and a true passion for both hospitality and recruitment.

Bridget Macleod

Bridget MacleodBridget is Cartwheel’s training expert and has a wealth of experience in Recruitment and Training, having worked as the Recruitment and Training Manager at regional level for companies such as Regent Inns, Laurel Pub Company and Greene King.

Bridget is also qualified to compile and run assessment days and training workshops, as well as carry out personality and psychometric profiling – additional services Bridget will be offering to Cartwheel’s broad client base.
